Account Settings
Configure your Kaname profile, notifications, email signature, and personal preferences.
Account settings let you personalize how Kaname works for you — your display name, email signature, notification preferences, and other personal configurations.
Access all account settings from Settings in the left sidebar.
Profile settings
Settings → Profile
Configure your personal information:
- Display name — the name visible to your team members inside Kaname
- Profile photo — an avatar used in the team view and thread assignments
- Time zone — used for scheduling follow-ups and calculating follow-up due times correctly. Set this to your local time zone.
Email signature
Settings → Signature
Create a custom email signature that automatically appends to outgoing replies.
To set up your signature:
- Go to Settings → Signature
- Type or paste your signature in the editor
- Use the formatting toolbar to add bold, links, or plain text formatting
- Click Save
You can create different signatures for different mailboxes. When replying from a specific Gmail account, Kaname uses the signature associated with that mailbox if you have created one.
To create a per-mailbox signature:
- Go to Settings → Mailboxes
- Click the mailbox you want to configure
- Scroll to the Signature section
- Add or edit the signature for that account
Notifications
Settings → Notifications
Configure when and how Kaname notifies you:

To configure notification timing for the daily digest, set your preferred delivery time in the Notifications settings. The default is 9 AM in your configured time zone.
Inbox settings
Settings → Inbox (or Settings → Email)
Customize how the inbox behaves:
- Default sort order — AI priority (recommended) or reverse-chronological
- Thread preview lines — show 1 or 2 lines of thread preview in the list
- Mark as read on open — automatically mark threads as read when you open them
- Confirm before archive — show a confirmation dialog before archiving threads
Smart Compose and AI settings
Settings → Smart Compose
Control AI reply generation:
- Enable Smart Compose — toggle AI reply drafting on or off
- Enable Smart Reply — toggle quick-reply suggestions on or off
- Reply tone — set a default tone for AI-generated drafts (Professional, Friendly, Concise)
- Include signature in drafts — automatically add your signature to AI-generated drafts
Vacation responder
Settings → Vacation
Set up an auto-reply message for when you are away:
- Toggle Vacation responder to on
- Set the start and end date
- Write your auto-reply message
- Optionally restrict auto-replies to contacts already in your address book
Vacation responder messages are sent from the mailbox that received the original message.
Security
Kaname uses Google OAuth for authentication — your password is managed by Google, not stored by Kaname. To change your password, go to your Google Account security settings.
To revoke Kaname's access to your Google account:
- Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Find Kaname in the list
- Click Remove access
Note: revoking access will disconnect all mailboxes and log you out of Kaname.
Deleting your account
To delete your Kaname account and all associated data, contact support from Settings → Support. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All threads, leads, products, and follow-ups associated with your account will be removed.
