Collecting personal information

Kaname collects limited personal information to provide mail sync, CRM features, AI-assisted workflows, and account management. This includes details you share when you create an account, connect Google, use the app, or contact us—and operational data needed to run the service securely.

  • Account details such as name and email address
  • OAuth and connection metadata for Gmail and related integrations
  • CRM, task, and usage signals needed to operate features you enable
  • Device, diagnostic, and security information for reliability and abuse prevention

After sync, much of your mail content is processed and stored on your device; our backend acts as a control plane (OAuth, watches, push, AI jobs, billing) and does not serve as a long-term mailbox archive. We collect only what is necessary to operate and improve Kaname.

Sharing personal information

Data is shared strictly when necessary to operate the platform responsibly and securely—such as with trusted infrastructure and service providers who help with hosting, analytics, notifications, or support. These partners are required to follow appropriate confidentiality and security practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety, rights, and integrity of our users and the Kaname service.

Kaname does not sell your personal information. Information is shared only when needed to provide the service or as described above.
